London Town!

We have arrived in beautiful London! And in typical London style it has rained all day!

We started off the day with our complimentary breakfast at the hotel, and were suprised at the huge feast when we were only expecting a few croissants! That should save us a few pounds! (And perhaps make us gain a few, too!)

We then went for a long walk through Covent Garden and the Strand up to Trafalgar Square, then took a bus through Oxford Circus, Knightsbridge and Kensington. I am pleased to report that Jimmy loves it here so far! We spent most of the day wandering around and looking in stores, and had lunch at my favourite little sandwich chain, Pret a Manger.

We're now back at the cute little hotel (which seems very old - I think in its day people only grew to 5'6'' because Jimmy has hit his head three times on the way out the door!) and trying to adjust to the nine hour time difference.

It was Guy Fawkes' Day a few days ago, and apparently there will be loads of fireworks tonight. But I think we'll have a pub meal and try to have an early night!
